* Tuesday Tech Help, 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays. Receive basic computer instruction or an introduction to various devices. Call 614-875-6716, ext. 503, to arrange a one-hour session.

* Turtle Lady, 6:30 p.m. July 7. Laugh and learn with the Turtle Lady as she shares her passion for turtles. There will be plenty of touching time with more than 20 reptiles.

* Be a Hero: The "Fantastic Five" Food Groups, 2 p.m. July 8. Grades 4 and up. Teens are invited to an energetic presentation about nutrition and food preparation. At the end, they can visit the build-your-own burrito bar.

* Zumba!, 4 p.m. July 8. Join Amy and Tracey from Victory Fitness Center for a Zumba dance class. Open to all ages and fitness levels. The class will be outside, weather permitting.

* The Caravan, 10:30 a.m. July 11. The Caravan will show how to make instruments out of common objects and bring a few of their own for the Kitchen Sink Symphony.

* Elementary Action: Racing Fans Unite, 10:30 a.m. July 13. Grades K-5. Ever race boats and worms? Stop by for action-packed craft and game stations.

* Bring the Farm to You, 1:30 p.m. July 14. This event makes the joys of farming tangible, allowing participants to touch the animals that provide food and fiber.

* Walk this Way, through July. Participants are challenged to walk the number of steps equivalent to 8.9 miles, the distance between the Westland Area Library and the Ohio State University's Thompson Library. Use a pedometer or app to track steps. Complete the challenge for a chance at a grand prize at the end of the summer. See reference staff members for assistance.

* Shazzbots, 10:30 a.m. July 7. The Shazzbots bring children's music to the library.
