Jackson Township firefighters responded to a house fire in the 1700 block of Borror Road about 6 a.m. this morning, Dec. 6.

Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting through the front window of the one-story house, Fire Chief Randy Little said.

The female homeowner was rescued from the home and was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition later this morning, according to assistant township administrator Lynn Bruno.

Seventeen firefighters responded in seven units, and the fire was extinguished in 13 minutes, Little said. The cause is undetermined and still is under investigation, he said.

A preliminary estimate of damage to the house and contents is $250,000, he said.
