Hilliard City Schools officials have announced they will host 19 informational forums for the community this fall.

The forums are designed to provide information about the district's finances prior to the November election. A 5.9-mill school operating levy has been placed on the ballot.

Forums start at 7 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

Sept. 1 at Ridgewood Elementary School, 4237 Dublin Road

Sept. 6 at Washington Elementary School, 5675 Eiterman Road

Sept. 8 at Beacon Elementary School, 3600 Lacon Road

Sept. 13 at Darby Creek Elementary School, 6305 Pinefield Drive

Sept. 14 at Avery Elementary School, 4388 Avery Road

Sept. 15 at Brown Elementary School, 2494 Walker Road

Sept. 19 at Hoffman Trails Elementary School, 4301 Hoffman Farms Drive

Sept. 20 at Alton Darby Elementary School, 2730 Alton Darby Creek Road

Sept. 21 at Norwich Elementary School, 4454 Davidson Road

Sept. 22 at Hilliard Horizon Elementary School, 6000 Renner Road

In addition, the district has announced an "Online lunch with the Superintendent" at noon Thursday, Sept. 15. Residents can ask superintendent Dale A. McVey questions about the district's recent "Excellent with Distinction" rating on the Ohio Department of Education's local report card.

There will be additional online sessions on other topics scheduled throughout the school year.

Residents interested in participating with the online lunch can go to the district's website, www.hilliardschools.org, and click on the appropriate link during the timeslot. No reservations or special programs are required.

The city of Hilliard intends to sell surplus municipal property by internet auction from Sept. 6-15.

The items are a 2000 Chevrolet C/K 2500 pickup with 123,557 miles, a 2002 Dodge 2500 pickup with 79,709 miles and a 2001 Swenson salt spreader.
