The Hilliard Family Aquatic Center will host the fifth annual Duckie Derby, a fundraiser that benefits Patches of Light, a Hilliard-based charity that assists families of critically-ill children, at 7 p.m. June 15.

Participants write their names and phone numbers on plastic ducks and then release them to float down the course. Prizes are awarded to the first 12 winners and include a variety of gift cards donated from local businesses and residents.

Ducks are available for purchase June 1, at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center and the Hilliard East Municipal Pool. The cost is $3 for one duck or $15 for a "quack pack" of seven.

In addition to Duckie Derby, the KPS Band will perform an outdoor concert from 2 to 4 p.m. that afternoon, and at 9:15 p.m., the movie Brave will be shown in the park. For information, visit hilliardohio.gov/play/upcoming-events.
