At least five Hilliard elementary buildings will have new principals next school year.

Three of the new principals will be reassigned and two will step into the role for the first time after being hired by the school board last week.

The reassignments, which do not require school board approval, began when a principal, Britanie Risner of Hilliard Crossing Elementary School, announced she wanted to return to the classroom next year as a teacher.

Risner's salary as a principal was $91,535 with benefits worth $42,609.48 for a total compensation of $134,144.48, according to district financial records.

Succeeding Risner at Hilliard Crossing will be Kayla Pinnick, who will depart her post at Scioto Darby Elementary School.

Moving to Scioto Darby will be Ridgewood's principal, Tamar Campbell-Sauer.
