Defender Katie Fleischman and forward Jenna Fodor each scored two goals and defender Faith Payton scored one, as the 10th-seeded Jaguars improved to 10-4-3 before playing fourth-seeded Olentangy Liberty in a semifinal Oct. 22.

The semifinal winner faces sixth-seeded Watterson or 13th-seeded Westerville South in a final Saturday, Oct. 26, at Gahanna.

The district champion will play Davidson, Olentangy Westerville Central, Worthington Kilbourne or Olentangy in a regional semifinal Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Dublin Jerome.

The boys team beat 15th-seeded Dublin Scioto 5-1 in the second round of the district tournament Oct. 19 at home.

Midfielder Riley Uhrin scored two goals and goalkeeper Jorge Morales had eight saves for the fourth-seeded Jaguars, who were 10-1-6 before playing 17th-seeded Jerome in a semifinal Oct. 23.

The semifinal winner faces fifth-seeded New Albany or sixth-seeded Davidson in a final Saturday, Oct. 26, at Westerville South.

The district champion will play Franklin Heights, Kilbourne, Liberty, Pickerington North or St. Charles in a regional semifinal Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Gahanna.

Darby girls win firsttwo games in tourney

Seeded 25th, the Darby girls team upset 20th-seeded and host Watkins Memorial 2-1 in double overtime in the first round of the Division I district tournament Oct. 15.

The Panthers then beat 28th-seeded Lancaster 2-1 in the second round Oct. 17 at home to improve to 4-11-3, as forward Helen Erb and midfielder Carlee Murry both scored and goalie Gabby Iosue had six saves.

Darby played second-seeded Pickerington North in a semifinal Oct. 22, with the winner facing seventh-seeded Jerome or ninth-seeded Thomas Worthington in a final Saturday, Oct. 26, at Westerville North.

The district champion will play Dublin Coffman, Grove City, Marysville or Scioto in a regional semifinal Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Gahanna.

Seeded 24th, the boys team defeated 22nd-seeded and host Chillicothe 4-0 in the first round of the district tournament Oct. 16 before losing to seventh-seeded and host Canal Winchester 3-1 in the second round Oct. 19 to finish 5-13.

Davidson girls rollin tourney opener

The Davidson girls team rolled in its Division I district tournament opener, defeating 33rd-seeded Central Crossing 12-0 in the second round Oct. 17 at home.

Forwards Devon McClellan and Megan Losey each had three goals and midfielder Abby Wells scored two, as the third-seeded Wildcats improved to 12-3-2 before playing host to 19th-seeded Olentangy in a semifinal Oct. 22.

The semifinal winner plays fifth-seeded Westerville Central or 14th-seeded Kilbourne in a final Saturday, Oct. 26, at Westerville North.

The district champion will advance to a regional semifinal Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Jerome, where it will face Bradley, Liberty, Watterson or Westerville South.

Davidson was a regional semifinalist a year ago.

The boys team opened the district tournament with an 8-0 win over 34th-seeded Briggs in the second round Oct. 19 at home and was 12-3-2 before playing at New Albany in a semifinal Oct. 23.

The semifinal winner faces Bradley or Jerome in a final Saturday, Oct. 26, at Westerville South.
