The Works: Center for History, Art & Technology, will offer its annual Hot Shop Scholarship to a young adult interested in the art of glass blowing.

The recipient of the scholarship, funded through the Nicholas Taylor Winegardner Scholarship Fund, will receive a five-day, hands-on experience in The Works' studio June 13-17, including personal instruction and mentoring.

Scholarships are awarded to applicants with a strong interest in glass blowing who would like to gain a better understanding of the process through hands-on experiences at The Works.

The Winegardner Scholarship honors Nicholas Winegardner, whose parents established the award after he died in an accident in 1995.
