Health Department offers clinics

The Licking County Health Department will begin offering "Back to School" clinics in August.

Clinics will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays at the health department, 675 Price Road, Newark.

Students entering kindergarten or the seventh grade are required to receive vaccinations in order to be admitted to school. Vaccinations also are recommended for college students.

Children under 18 who have proof of Medicaid coverage may receive vaccines free of charge. For others, a $10 administration charge per vaccine and a $15 assessment fee may apply. The maximum charge for any family is $40. Waivers are available.

The "Back to School" clinics are offered in addition to the health department's regular clinic schedule. Satellite clinics are offered in Buckeye Lake, Pataskala and Johnstown. For more information on the clinic schedule, or for any other questions, call (740) 349-6535 or visit www.lickingcohealth.org.
