Johnstown Area Seniors, meeting and program, 10 a.m. March 9, at Church of the Ascension, 555 S. Main St., Johnstown. This is a group for those 55 years of age or older. A social gathering with coffee starts the day, with a meeting at 10:30 a.m., a program at 11 a.m. and lunch at 11:30 a.m. There is a $5 one-time admission fee and $5 fee for each meeting that includes lunch. Licking County Historical Society, ladies' luncheon and style show noon March 14 at the Buckingham Meeting House in Veterans' Park, Sixth Street, Newark. Friends and family infant CPR class, geared toward expectant parents and grandparents, 6 to 7 p.m. March 10 at the Licking Memorial Hospital. Although this class does not provide official certification, it focuses on basic life support and treatment for infants who are choking. Anyone who cares for young children may register. Childbirth education class, for expectant mothers, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 14, at Licking Memorial Hospital. A childbirth educator will teach the class, focusing on the anatomy of pregnancy, ways to cope with labor, breathing exercises, guided imagery exercises, postpartum care and newborn care.
