A Johnstown man was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving or under physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated at 5:40 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 150 block of Briarwood Drive.

A Johnstown man was charged with a misdemeanor count of driving or under physical control of a motor vehicle while intoxicated at 5:40 p.m. Nov. 29 in the 150 block of Briarwood Drive.

Johnstown police were called to the scene when they were notified of an individual passed out in a red Mini Cooper vehicle with an open container of alcohol and keys in the car.

The man reportedly failed several sobriety tests and said he had drank three beers at a friend's house according to Johnstown Police Department reports.

* A man was charged with domestic violence at 9:32 p.m. Nov. 30, in the 280 block of Central Station Drive.

According to reports, the man's father tried to awaken him and when the man awakened he "jumped up in his (father's) face and grabbed him by the neck."

The man then started swinging his hands "wildly" and struck his father under the eye and left a gash on hisfather's face.

The father told police he did want to press charges and the young man was taken to Licking County Justice Center, reports said.

* A woman reported to police a Samsung Galaxy 4 cell phone, valued at $300, had been stolen at 10:08 a.m. Nov. 29 in the 600 block of West Coshocton Drive.

* Someone was reportedly throwing mud at a man's residence at 8:24 p.m. Nov. 27 in the 130 block of Saratoga Drive.
