Dog license deadline set

The last day to purchase a new dog license without being charged a $10 late penalty is Sunday, Jan. 31.

The Licking County auditor has 15 neighborhood dog licensing locations. To locate the licensing stations, visit the animal shelter's Web site at www.lcounty.com or call (740) 349-6563. Dog tags also are available through the mail.

Individual dog tags are $10 each.

Ohio law requires county dog wardens to enforce dog license laws, according to a news release from the Licking County Department of Animal Control.
