Pataskala's newest city council member wants to give residents more opportunities to voice their opinions at public meetings.

Bryan Lenzo made a motion during council's Jan. 19 business meeting to add an additional citizens' comment time to council's agendas. The comments would be heard prior to adjournment, and residents would be limited to three minutes. The comment time would be in addition to citizens' comments that currently are heard at the beginning of the meetings, prior to the motion to approve previous council meeting minutes.

Residents who speak during the beginning of the meeting are limited to five minutes.

Council likely will consider the motion during its next meeting, scheduled for Feb. 1.
