The Great Granville Garage Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.

The Great Granville Garage Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 1.

The sale, presented by St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, will benefit the Licking County Coalition for Housing. Sale day headquarters will be in Opera House Park, next to the church.

Official sellers will receive a yard sign, a spot on the event map, a souvenir bag, free publicity and a pocket apron. Registration is an LCCH donation of $35. Forms are available at the Huntington Bank, Reader's Garden and St. Luke's Parish House, and also online at Forms must be received by April 17.

On the day of the sale, buyers are encouraged to donate $5 to LCCH , either at Opera House Park or at the drive-through College Town House. Each buyer who makes the contribution will receive a garage sale map showing the locations of registered sellers, a souvenir bag and discount offers from many Granville businesses.

The LCCH was founded in 1992 to serve the housing needs of homeless, low- and moderate-income Licking County residents.

The annual All-Heisey Benefit Auction will be held April 9 and 10 at the GMP Local 244 Union Hall, 350 Hudson Ave. in Newark.

The auction of more than 1,000 lots of Heisey glass will benefit the National Heisey Glass Museum.

A preview of sale items will be from 2 p.m. until the auction begins at 4 p.m. on April 9. Lots 1 through 351 will be sold on the first day; lots 352 through 1,084 will be sold on April 10.

A Heisey Collectors of America meeting will begin at 9 a.m.; the auction will resume at 9:30 a.m.
