Your support for the Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District’s 0.1-mill operating levy is one of the best investments you’ll ever make. Keeping our county’s water resources clean, protecting the fertile soil of one of Ohio’s largest agricultural and food-producing areas and passing on Licking County’s natural beauty to future generations is a gift we have received and must preserve.

The levy costs less than 1 cent per day for a $100,000 home. The soil and water district is operated by very competent and responsive fellow citizens. They truly care about protecting and nurturing the land and water resources of Licking County.

Please join me in voting for soil and water conservation. Good stewardship benefits everyone.

To the editor:

For the past 10 years, I have called Licking County my home, and I have found it to be a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.

It is clear to me that the things that make this a great place to live need the support of the people who live here if they are to be maintained. Time and time again, the citizens of Licking County have supported their schools, their infrastructure, their libraries, their public services and their local businesses.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, we will have the opportunity to support something else that makes this a great place to live. Our county has fertile farmland, clean aquifers, picturesque rivers and abundant green spaces. These aspects of our home need protection and maintenance just as our schools and roads do.

The Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District has done a fantastic job of protecting our land and water for many years but now it needs our help. I will be voting in support of the soil and water conservation district levy, and I urge you to do the same.
