• Home School Investigations: Skeletons, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the Discovery Center. For ages 6 to 10. Join other home-schooled students and explore the natural world through hands-on science study. Cost is $5 per child.

• Terrific Turkeys, 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Discovery Center.

• Storybook Science: It’s Fall, 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in the Discovery Center. Children ages 3 to 5 can participate in songs, games, crafts, creative movement, outdoor exploration and hands-on science opportunities. Free. Donations are welcome.

• Growing Evergreens from Cuttings, 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 12, in the Zane Education Center. Nursery manager Rich Larson will discuss the basic techniques of cutting propagation in evergreen species and varieties. All participants will take home evergreen cuttings. Cost is $20 for members and $30 for others. Register by Nov. 9.
