The event will include information on suicide prevention, time for people to share their experiences and candles to honor family members, friends and loved ones who have died by suicide. Licking County Genealogical Society roundtable discussion, 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 in Meeting Room A at the Licking County Main Library, 101 W. Main St., Newark. A panel will answer questions on where to find birth, death or military records; how to find female ancestors; which genealogy software to use; and what websites are most useful.

Lite the Nite Car Show, 9 a.m. Sept. 10 in downtown Newark near the courthouse square. The event will feature 600 vehicles and a number of local vendors and crafts. Citizen Science Series: Stream Team Training, 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 31 at Riverview Preserve, 375 Ohio St., Newark. Licking County Soil and Water Conservation District will offer volunteer Stream Team training. Volunteers monitor a stream to help increase public awareness about water quality issues. After training, volunteers will be able to monitor the physical, biological and chemical characteristics of a local stream and submit data to the district.

Granville Senior Center
