Charges could be filed against the owner of a dog that allegedly killed another dog.

According to a Marysville police report, a pit bull attacked and killed a Yorkshire terrier at 2:08 p.m. Sept. 20 on Catalpa Place.

The dog is currently confined and copies of the police report were sent to the Union County Dog Warden and the Union County Health Department. The dog warden said an investigation is pending.

In other recent incident reports from the Marysville Division of Police:

* At 10:11 a.m. Sept. 17, a police officer was assaulted by a male patient awaiting treatment at Maryhaven, 715 S. Plum St. Police said the case will likely be presented to a Union County grand jury.

* Charges are pending against a driver who stole a motorcycle from East Liberty and crashed it into a pole at Collins Avenue and Grove Street at 7:50 p.m. Sept. 20. The driver could also be charged with OVI, police said.

* At 7:24 a.m. Sept. 17, a resident of Cypress Drive reported tires were slashed on three of his vehicles overnight.

* A resident of East Sixth Street reported someone kicked in the front door of his home and went inside at 9:37 a.m. Sept. 17.

* Wooden pallets were reported stolen from a business on Columbus Avenue at 8:36 a.m. Sept. 18.

* At 1:20 p.m. Sept. 18, a woman reported wood-carving tools and spare change were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at a business on U.S. Route 36.

* A customer at a business on North Main Street reported he was assaulted by another customer and prescription medication was stolen from his pocket at 3:13 a.m. Sept. 19.

* A splitter/amplifier was reported stolen from the basement of a residence on Millington Way at 3:30 p.m. Sept. 19.

* Items were reported stolen from a storage area on North Maple Street at 3:33 p.m. Sept. 20.

* At 11:28 a.m. Sept. 21, a business on West Fifth Street reported a suspicious drug prescription.

* Unauthorized charges were made on an account at a business on Echo Drive at 1:08 p.m. Sept. 21.

* An employee of a business on Delaware Avenue reported her wallet stolen at 10:36 p.m. Sept. 21.

* At 10:01 a.m. Sept. 22, a student at Marysville High School, 800 Amrine Mill Road, reported money stolen from her vehicle.

* A vehicle parked on Bridgewater Drive was damaged sometime overnight Sept. 20.

* At 4:40 p.m. Sept. 21, a resident of Cypress Drive reported the windshield on his vehicle had been broken.

* A resident of Derby Drive reported at 6:14 p.m. Sept. 21 a juvenile threw a rock and dented his vehicle.

* A 39-year-old Ostrander man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 10:25 p.m. Sept. 17 on East Fourth Street.

* A 30-year-old Marysville man was arrested and charged with OVI following a traffic stop at 2:36 a.m. Sept. 18 on North Main Street.

* At 10:10 a.m. Sept. 18, a 33-year-old Marysville woman was charged with filing a false police report.

Union County Sheriff's Office

The Union County Sheriff's Office received a report at 1:19 p.m. Sept. 18 from a business in the 8000 block of Corporate Boulevard where an employee was accused of threatening to shoot a co-worker. Additional information was not available.

In other recent incident reports from the Union County Sheriff's Office:

* An 82-year-old man died after his boat apparently capsized in a pond in the 17000 block of West Darby Road in Allen Township.

According to a report from the sheriff's office, deputies, units from Allen Township Fire Department, Marysville Division of Fire, Washington Township Fire Department and the Union County Coroner's Office went to the scene at 6:43 p.m. Sept. 22. According to The Columbus Dispatch, crews found the man's body in the pond at his home.

* Numerous stainless steel parts were stolen during a break-in at a business in the 9000 block of Heritage Drive at 8:07 a.m. Sept. 17.

* Three chain saws and a masonry saw were reported stolen from a garage at 7:25 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 10000 block of Converse Road.

* An all-terrain vehicle, a mini-bike, a Honda generator and a rifle were reported stolen at 6:59 p.m. Sept. 18 from the 26000 block of Lunda Road.

* A tractor battery was reported stolen at 8:09 p.m. Sept. 18 by a resident in the 14000 block of Bethlehem Claibourne Road.

* At 10:18 p.m. Sept. 20, a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle, a chain saw and cash were reported stolen from a property in the 25000 block of state Route 287.

* A burglary was reported at a residence in the 7000 block of Weldon Road at 9:58 a.m. Sept. 21.

* A trailer was reported stolen from a business in the 7000 block of Corporate Boulevard at 3:55 p.m. Sept. 21.

* A burglary was reported at a residence in the 16000 block of Hunters Run at 7:57 p.m. Sept. 22.

* At 10:49 a.m. Sept. 19, a business in the 9000 block of Heritage Drive reported a gate had been damaged.
