Consider Biking, a local organization that promotes the value of cycling, is hosting a 25-mile loop bike ride Saturday to support the Metro Parks' upcoming levy.
The bike ride, which is open to the public, will start at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Franklin Park Conservatory on East Broad Street in Columbus and wind through the Alum Creek Trail to the Three Creeks Metro Park.
Metro Parks has a 10-year, 0.75-mill levy on Tuesday's ballot. If passed, the levy would replace a current 10-year, 0.65-mill levy that expires at the end of the year.
The 0.75-mill levy would cost about $23 a year per $100,000 of assessed property value, or $10 more than Franklin County residents are currently paying.
