New Albany police responded to reports of an assault at 2:57 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the New Albany branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 200 Market St.

Police were called about a fight but found no one fighting when they arrived.

Several juveniles outside the library told police the fight was over, according to reports.

Police viewed video of the fight on a child's cellphone and saw a suspect hit another juvenile in the back of the head.

The two hit each other until an adult broke up the fight.

Both juveniles were located by police.

One was taken home by a parent. The other, who had a scratch on an arm, was allowed to stay until a parent could retrieve the student.

No one was charged in the incident.
