Two purses containing cash were stolen last month from vehicles parked in two New Albany neighborhoods:

* A purse containing $80 was reported stolen between 9 p.m. Nov. 11 and 5:54 a.m. Nov. 12 from a vehicle in the 8000 block of Galdino Drive.

A car window was broken in the incident, according to the police report.

* A purse containing $400 was reported stolen between 8 p.m. Nov. 18 and 10:20 a.m. Nov. 19 from a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of Sedgwick Drive.

In other recent incident reports from the New Albany Police Department:

* An attempted burglary was reported at 9:22 a.m. Nov. 14 in the 6000 block of Central College Road.

A resident reported someone tried to kick in the back door but did not gain entry to the home. The person left in a vehicle with two other people in it, according to the report.

* A cellphone was reported stolen at 6:54 p.m. Nov. 17 from the wrestling room at New Albany Middle School, 6600 Dublin-Granville Road.

The phone was taken from a gym bag, the police report said.
