A single-vehicle crash resulted in an OVI arrest for a 23-year-old Newark woman.

Police responded at 9:22 a.m. Aug. 24 to the crash she was involved in at state Route 161 east of U.S. Route 62. The vehicle contained a flask with alcohol and a cup with alcoholic residue. Emergency medical personnel said the woman was intoxicated from alcohol and possibly drugs.

* A 23-year-old Blacklick man was arrested for OVI after police pulled him over at 2:05 a.m. Aug. 24 for driving erratically northbound on U.S. Route 62 just south of Central College Road. Upon admitting to consuming alcohol, the man underwent field sobriety testing. A breath test resulted in a .201 BAC.

* A 24-year-old Columbus man was arrested Aug. 24 for OVI and drug paraphernalia after police pulled him over for speeding on U.S. Route 161. The man underwent field sobriety testing after he admitted to drinking alcohol. A vehicle search produced a digital scale with cocaine residue, a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol. A breath test resulted in a .075 BAC.

* Theft was reported at 9:13 p.m. Aug. 22 at New Albany High School, 7600 Fodor Road, when officers were told a travel cart and tennis balls were taken from a storage shed. Property was valued at $300.

* A New Albany woman told police at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 22 that a cord used to connect her phone to her vehicle was taken from her vehicle in her driveway in the 7100 block of Tumblebrook Drive.

* A New Albany man residing in the 8100 block of Parsons Pass told police at 2:05 p.m. Aug. 22 that a credit card account was opened using his personal identification. No money was taken from the account.

* Theft was reported at 6:48 p.m. Aug. 21 when officers responded to three New Albany residents who said theft occurred from multiple vehicles overnight at a residence in the 7900 block of Scarborough Hall Drive. In total, $23 in change was taken, along with $400 in airline vouchers and a $185 wallet.

* A 28-year-old Newark man was arrested for OVI after police found him asleep in his vehicle 3:44 a.m. Aug. 21 off the side of the roadway on the ramp to U.S. Route 62 eastbound. The man admitted to consuming alcohol and underwent field sobriety tests. A breath test resulted in .097 BAC.
