Two players from the New Albany High School football team are expected to sign April 28 to play college football, according to coach Mark Mueller.
Kashton Foley, a 6-foot-5, 205-pound defensive end, is expected to sign with Butler University in Indianapolis and quarterback/defensive back Bryant Bednarek (6-2, 198) is expected to sign with Davidson College in Davidson, N.C.
Both programs compete in the Football Championship Subdivision, formerly Division I-AA.
Bednarek and Foley join offensive tackle Vinnie Cordova (Eastern Illinois) as FCS recruits from last year's New Albany team, which reached the playoffs for the first time in four seasons.
New Albany finished 11-1 overall and won the OCC-Capital Division championship at 7-0. The season ended with a 30-27 overtime loss to Dresden Tri-Valley in the first round of the Division II, Region 7 playoffs.
