According to a report from Columbus police, one of the victims was a Canal Winchester resident while the other was a resident of Mount Sterling. The case was turned over to detectives, according to the report.

In other Northland-area police reports:

* A Tamarack Circle North woman said she was assaulted at 3 p.m. May 16 at an address on Tamarack Circle South. She said the suspect, whose gender was not specified, slapped her twice on the right side of her face with an open palm.

* Officers investigated an incident in the 5600 block of Raintree Place at 9:02 p.m. May 17 in which a Canal Winchester man was assaulted. According to the report, the victim did not wish to press charges.

* A Clybourne Road man accused his neighbor of throwing an unknown liquid, possibly laced with chili powder, in his face during an argument at 7:50 a.m. May 16. The neighbor, in turn, said the man doused her with a bucket of water.

Each of the parties denied the other's allegations, according to the reporting officer, but the woman produced a shirt that was soaking wet and the man's eyes appeared to be irritated. He was transported to Mount Carmel St. Ann's for treatment and advised to contact the city prosecutor's office.

* A Morse Road man and a juvenile said they were assaulted by two suspects at the man's home at 3:25 p.m. May 14.

* A youth and a man said they were assaulted at Woodward Park Middle School, 5151 Karl Road, by two individuals at 2:31 p.m. May 13.

* A girl told officers she was assaulted by three of six other females who pulled up beside her in a car on Blue Ash Road and asked where her friend was at 2:50 p.m. May 12. The victim, who was bleeding from the nose and mouth, received treatment at the scene. She said one of the people in the car got out and began punching her in the back of the head. When she fell to the ground, two others joined in the attack, the girl reported. The victim didn't know any of her assailants, but said she recognized one of the other passengers in the vehicle.
