Officers searched in the vicinity of the 1600 block of Stonebrook Lane beginning at 7 p.m. Nov. 29 but couldn't find the person a 22-year-old woman said attempted to assault her and then "threatened her with serious physical harm before fleeing the scene," according to police reports.

The woman was referred to the prosecutor's office to file charges.

In other Northland-area police reports:

* A man said two people he doesn't know but with whom he has had problems in the past assaulted him on the front porch of his North Meadows Court residence at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 27.

* A Tamarack Boulevard man said a neighbor threw a child's toy at him, took a swing at him and then tossed rocks at his car at 7:45 p.m. Nov. 26.

When officers attempted to contact the neighbor, the report stated, she would not answer the door. A witness said he was able to get between the two people and walked the woman to her residence to end the dispute.

Another person reported witnessing the toy-tossing, police reports said.

* A 35-year-old Maize Road man was charged with forgery at 3:47 p.m. Nov. 28 at the a store at 5500 block of Cleveland Avenue. According to the police report, the incident involved a $130 cellphone.
