An argument that escalated into gunfire at an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Belcher Drive left one woman dead and two other people injured Sunday, May 8.

Columbus police said the shootings occurred around 7:45 p.m. A 25-year-old woman who was found inside a stopped vehicle on Cleveland Avenue just south of the apartment complex was taken to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later.

A 28-year-old man was listed in critical condition early Monday. An 18-year-old woman was treated and released, police said.

* A 29-year-old man said he was attacked in a Tamarack Circle West barbershop May 4 by another patron. The incident took place at 2:30 p.m., according to the victim, who said he was getting a haircut when he glanced at the man in the chair next to him.

According to police reports, that prompted the other barbershop patron to get up from his chair, pick that chair up and throw it at the first man. The chair-thrower then left the shop, got into a vehicle and drove away.

* A 39-year-old woman said someone punched her in the left side of her neck at 9:45 a.m. May 3 in the 2700 block of Audubon Road.

* A Mallards Marsh residence was burglarized between midnight and 6 a.m. May 3. The resident, a 66-year-old man, said nothing was taken from the house, but his vehicle was entered and a wallet worth $20 was taken. The wallet also contained his driver's license and a credit card.
