The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has raised prices for visitors who reside outside of Franklin County.

The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has raised prices for visitors who reside outside of Franklin County.

The increased admission fees went into effect Wednesday, April 1, at the zoo, located west of the city of Powell in Delaware County.

According to the zoo:

* Admission tickets has increased in price to $17.99 for visitors who reside outside of Franklin County and are 10-59 years old.

* Tickets for guests who reside outside of Franklin County and are age 9 or younger or age 60 or older have increased in price to $12.99.

* Admission costs will hold steady at $14.99 for guests who reside in Franklin County and are 10-59 years old.

* Tickets for Franklin County residents who are 60 or older or 9 or younger now cost $9.99.

Membership fees also will remain steady for Franklin County residents, while residents of other counties will see $20 price increases for Family and Family Plus membership plans. Other membership plans for people who reside outside of Franklin County also have increased in price.
