A Liberty Township man said a burglar caused thousands of dollars of damage after entering a home late last month.

Deputies responded about 2 p.m. March 30 to the 1300 block of Abbotsford Green Drive after the man reported someone entered his home without his permission.

The victim said someone disconnected a hose in a second-floor bathroom, causing significant water damage to the first floor and basement. The damage to the home was estimated at $5,000, reports said.

Deputies determined an unknown suspect entered and exited the home through a first-floor door, according to sheriff's reports. No signs of forced entry were discovered, reports said.

• A woman reported April 11 a theft that occurred between 6 and 10 p.m. March 31 in the 2700 block of Griffin Drive in Berlin Township. The victim said an unknown suspect stole her wedding ring, valued at $3,000.

• Deputies responded to a burglary alarm between 2:15 and 2:30 a.m. March 30 in the 8900 block of Lake Ridge Drive in Orange Township, according to sheriff's reports.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered an unknown suspect had broken into a garage and stolen a tool valued at $460, reports said.

• A man reported an attempted burglary that occurred between 6 a.m. and 9:45 p.m. March 30 in the 1200 block of Bean-Oller Road in Liberty Township. Two men attempted to gain entry to the victim's home through a basement door, according to sheriff's reports.

• A man reported a burglary that took place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. March 31 at a friend's house in the 2000 block of Lackey Old State Road in Berlin Township. Someone stole two televisions, together worth $2,200, from the residence after breaking in through the front door, according to reports.

• A man reported a burglary that occurred between noon and 1:15 p.m. March 31 in the 1100 block of Shanahan Road in Berlin Township. Someone stole four firearms, together worth $705, from the house after breaking in through a rear door, according to reports.

• Two Columbus residents face charges after an alleged shoplifting incident that occurred between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m. April 10 at a business in the first block of Meadow Park Avenue in Orange Township.

After arriving, deputies arrested a Columbus woman who reportedly stole hundreds of dollars worth of groceries and clothing, according to sheriff's reports. She faces a charge of theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, reports said.

In the course of their investigation, deputies searched a Columbus man's car and discovered six syringes and spoons, according to sheriff's reports. The man faces a charge of possessing drug-abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor, reports said.

• Berlin Township residents living on Africa Road, Dale Ford Court and Sophie Court reported their personal information was used to file fraudulent tax returns between March 30 and April 12.

• Orange Township residents living on Aberfeldy Court, Beaumont Square, Cheyenne Creek Drive, Coldharbor Court, Eric Court, Lydia Drive, Matthews Brook Lane, Riverbend Avenue, Waukeegan Avenue, Whispering Woods and Wilhoit Avenue reported their personal information was used to file fraudulent tax returns between March 30 and April 12.

• Liberty Township residents living on Abbotsford Green Drive, Big Bear Avenue, Eckington Drive, Filiz Lane, Manchester Drive, Oxford Circle, Picardae Court, Riverside Drive, Sherborne Lane, Steitz Road and Woodlands Place reported their personal information was used to file fraudulent tax returns between March 30 and April 12.

• A woman reported the theft of drugs that occurred between 11 a.m. March 31 and 1 p.m. April 3 in the 400 block of Commons Drive. Someone stole 85 prescription pills from her house, according to police reports.

• A man reported a theft that occurred between March 20 and April 4 in the first block of Chenango Drive. An unknown suspect stole a wheelbarrow valued at $150, according to police reports.

• Powell residents living on Amaranthus Drive, Balsamine Drive, Carriage Valley Drive, Charlescarn Drive, Highwind Drive, Keisel Court, Linksway Drive, Sycamore Ridge Court, Thornbury Lane, Trail Lake Drive, Village Park Drive, Wagon Trail South and Wildflower Drive reported their identities were stolen between March 26 and April 13.
