A burglar stole a safe containing a valuable coin collection late last month from a house in Liberty Township.

A man reported to Delaware County Sheriff's deputies someone entered his house between 12:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and 10:30 p.m. Nov. 26 in the 1300 block of Sherborne Lane. Someone stole a 400-pound safe valued at $967, according to sheriff's reports.

The safe contained a collection of U.S. and international coins valued at $30,000, reports said. The safe also contained a watch valued at $7,000, according to sheriff's reports.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the case but have not made an arrest or filed charges, reports said.

* A man reported a theft from a vehicle occurred between 5 p.m. Nov. 21 and 7 a.m. Nov. 22 in the 3200 block of U.S. Route 42 in Concord Township. Someone stole a gun scope valued at $1,500 and $150 cash from a car, according to sheriff's reports.

* A business in the 5500 block of state Route 37 in Berkshire Township reported someone attempted to steal an ATV from the property between 6:30 and 7 a.m. Nov. 25. An employee discovered the vehicle's engine running and a broken security loop at the scene, according to sheriff's reports.

* An employee of a business in the 7700 block of state Route 37 in Berkshire Township reported someone stole multiple energy drinks, together valued at $277, between 11 p.m. Nov. 20 and 6 p.m. Nov. 24.

* A man reported someone vandalized his car between 4 p.m. Nov. 23 and 7 a.m. Nov. 24 while it was parked in the 5600 block of Windrift Drive in Liberty Township. An unknown suspect caused $300 worth of damage to a passenger-side window, according to sheriff's reports.

Powell police

* An employee of a business in the 8800 block of Moreland Street told Powell police someone stole $200 cash from the business shortly before 7:45 p.m. Nov. 17.

* A woman reported a theft from a motor vehicle occurred between 9 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 30 in the 3400 block of Sawmill Parkway. An unknown suspect broke one of the car's windows and stole a purse valued at $2,000, according to police reports.

* A man reported a burglary occurred between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 8 a.m. Nov. 29 in the 400 block of Shale Ridge Court. An unknown suspect entered a garage and stole a cooler valued at $50 and 12 beers, reports said.

* The Murphy's Park Homeowners Association reported someone damaged a pedestrian crossing sign between Nov. 30 and 1:45 p.m. Dec. 1 at the intersection of Murphy Parkway and Safreed Way. The damage to the sign is estimated at $100, according to police reports.
