Two women contacted the Delaware County Sheriff's Office earlier this month after they found possibly illicit substances in separate incidents in southern Delaware County.

A woman told deputies she discovered a bag of unknown white pills shortly after 2:45 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Road in Liberty Township. A deputy confiscated the pills, which were sent to the sheriff's office property room for destruction, reports said.

A second woman said she found two bags between 7:30 and 8 p.m. Aug. 6 in the 9900 block of Concord Road in Concord Township. The bags contained multiple lighters, rolling papers, a pipe and a substance suspected to be marijuana, according to sheriff's reports.

The sheriff's office has identified a suspect in the latter case, but charges have not been filed, reports said.

* A man reported Aug. 12 criminal damaging occurred between 3 and 3:15 a.m. June 24 in the 6600 block of Steitz Road in Liberty Township. Someone reportedly shot a light fixture with a pellet gun, causing $100 in damage.

* A man reported someone caused $300 worth of damage to his mailbox between 11 p.m. Aug. 11 and 6 a.m. Aug. 12 in the 1900 block of Westwood Drive in Orange Township.

* A deputy on patrol determined someone vandalized a mailbox after 11 p.m. Aug. 13 in the 5800 block of Cloverdale Drive in Berlin Township.

* A woman reported someone vandalized her door, causing $400 worth of damage, between 10 and 10:15 p.m. Aug. 12 in the 4300 block of Parkshore Drive in Berlin Township.
