Someone got away with thousands of dollars worth of tools after a break-in at an Orange Township business late last month.

Delaware County Sheriff's Office deputies responded shortly before 11:15 a.m. Nov. 22 to the 9500 block of South Old State Road after a man reported a burglary occurred between 8 p.m. Nov. 17 and 11 a.m. Nov. 22.

Someone reportedly broke into the business through the front door and stole tools -- including multiple chain saws, chop saws and a blowtorch -- valued at about $7,500.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the case, but had not made an arrest or filed charges as of Dec. 6, according to sheriff's reports.

In other recent county sheriff's reports:

* An employee of a business in the 8700 block of Owenfield Drive in Orange Township reported a burglary occurred between 4:45 and 5 a.m. Nov. 30. Someone reportedly entered the business through the front door and stole a cash-register drawer valued at $250.

* A woman Nov. 21 reported a theft by deception that took place between 8 and 9 a.m. Oct. 31 in the 5500 block of Heathrow Drive in Liberty Township. The woman reportedly wired $1,626 to an unknown suspect.

* A man reported a theft occurred between 7:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Nov. 22 in the 900 block of Bayridge Drive in Orange Township. The man told deputies a former roommate stole clothing, electronics and jewelry valued at $2,760 from the residence.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the case, reports said.

* A man reported a theft from a vehicle took place between 10 p.m. Nov. 21 and 10 p.m. Nov. 23 in the 8500 block of Oak Village Boulevard in Orange Township. An unknown suspect reportedly stole pool cues and accessories valued at $2,840.

* A woman reported a theft from a vehicle occurred before 7:30 a.m. Nov. 21 in the 3700 block of Discovery Lane in Liberty Township. Someone reportedly stole a laptop computer valued at $600 and a smartphone worth $150 from the car.

Powell

* A driver reportedly struck a business while attempting to reverse his vehicle last month in Powell.

A man drove into the structure about 12:45 p.m. Nov. 16 in the first block of South Liberty Street, according to police reports. The man told officers he was attempting to back away from the curb, but accelerated before he put the car in reverse.

* A resident reported a sex crime involving a juvenile victim occurred Nov. 22 at a city residence.

Officers later arrested William H. Wissinger, 70, of Boardman on charges of importuning, a third-degree felony, and sexual imposition, a third-degree misdemeanor, according to police reports.

* A man reported someone stole his car between 4:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Nov. 23 from the 10200 block of Sawmill Parkway. The vehicle is valued at $3,000, reports said.

* An employee of a business in the 10500 block of Sawmill Parkway reported someone attempted to obtain medication with a fraudulent prescription between 5 and 5:15 p.m. Nov. 30.
