In the district meet Feb. 27 at Worthington Kilbourne, Morgan tied for second on floor exercise (9.275), was third on balance beam (8.95), tied for seventh on uneven bars (8.575) and placed ninth in the all-around (34.3).

That led the Braves to 135.7 points and a second-place finish behind Dublin Coffman (139) as 25 teams scored.

The top three teams and top nine finishers in each event and the all-around advanced to state. The team state meet is Friday, March 4, at Hilliard Bradley and the individual state meet is Saturday, March 5, at Bradley.

Olentangy will be competing in the team state meet for the first time.

Dublin Jerome (135.65) earned the other team state berth from district.

Olentangy's Stephanie Miller qualified for state by tying for seventh on floor (9.1).

Other top performers for the Braves were Mattee Bonanno, who tied for 11th on vault (8.7) and was 16th in the all-around (33.4); Cassandra Fillman, who tied for ninth on beam (8.65); and Lexi Jesenovec, who tied for 11th on beam (8.55).

Pioneers finish 12th at district

Natalie Herning tied for 14th on beam (8.4) at district, helping lead Orange to 12th place (121.1).

No Pioneers advanced to state.

Herning also was 55th on vault (7.875) and 36th in the all-around (31.725).

Nicole Carifa tied for 19th on floor (8.95) and was 30th on vault (8.125). Eleanor Clifton was 57th on bars (6.9).

Naples leads Patriots at district

Chelsea Naples tied for 40th on beam (7.75) and was 70th on vault (7.725) as Liberty's season ended with a 14th-place finish (120.2) at district.

The Patriots' best individual performance came from Maia Kropp, who was 15th on floor (9.025). She also tied for 56th on vault (7.85). Naples was 48th in the all-around (30.525) and Kropp was 51st (29.875). Abigail Hunter tied for 59th on bars (6.75).
