Fairfield County dog licenses for 2011 will go on sale beginning Dec. 1.

Licenses are $12 and must be purchased for any dog age three months or older.

Dog tags may now be ordered online at http://dogtags.co.fairfield.oh.us. Applications may also be printed online at www.fairfield.oh.us/auditor. Completed forms should be returned to the Fairfield County Auditor's Office, 210 E. Main St. Room 201, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Mailed applications must include a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a check or money order.

Licenses may also be purchased at the Pickerington BMV, 473 Hill Road N.; Discount Drug Mart, 845 Hill Road; or Pet People, 1023 Hill Road N.

Eastland-Fairfield Career and Technical Schools will both host open houses from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2.

Eastland is located at 4465 S. Hamilton Road in Groveport and Fairfield is located at 3985 Coonpath Road in Carroll.

Prospective sophomore students from 16 central Ohio school districts, their parents and the general public are invited to attend. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions about 38 different programs, how to apply, free college credit, internships, work placement and apprenticeships.

The open houses will also offer information about the adult workface development program.
