The Fairfield County Airport, 3430 Old Columbus Road N.W., will host its annual open house from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

The Fairfield County Airport, 3430 Old Columbus Road N.W., will host its annual open house from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

Breakfast and lunch will be available. Boys and girls ages 8 to 17 may take advantage of free Young Eagles Flights. The Historical Aircraft Squadron Museum will be open for tours all day and planes from all over Ohio will line the parking ramp.

A 1944 A/B-26 medium bomber, restored by members of the squadron, will be leaving the airport during the open house to be permanently stationed in upstate New York. This is the last chance to see the "Hot Rod" of WWII.

In preparation for its 50th anniversary celebration in September, Epiphany Lutheran Church, 268 Hill Road N., has planned monthly events.

The second Sunday in each month will feature a former pastor as the guest preacher. The next "Celebration Sunday" will be held May 8, led by the Rev. Mark Nodo, who served as associate pastor at Epiphany from 1992 to 1996.

The worship service will be held at 9 a.m., with a Ministry Fair to follow. Contemporary worship is scheduled for 11:15 a.m., with a congregational potluck at 12:15 p.m.
