The Pickerington High School North Marching Panthers finished in first place in the Class AA division at the Golden Sound Showcase Oct. 15 at Teays Valley High School.

The Pickerington High School North Marching Panthers finished in first place in the Class AA division at the Golden Sound Showcase Oct. 15 at Teays Valley High School.

The band was named the Class A/AA Grand Champions. It received a superior rating from the OMEA judges, and also received awards for Outstanding Auxiliary, Outstanding Field Commanders and Outstanding Percussion. Their performance was titled, “The Greatest Generation.”

The Marching Panthers will compete at the State Marching Band Competition on Saturday, Oct. 29, at Dublin Jerome High School.

In November, they will travel to New York to participate in the New York City Veterans Day Parade and the NYC Band of Pride Tribute in Times Square.
