The Pickerington Police department recently investigated numerous reports of thefts from businesses and residences.

The Pickerington Police department recently investigated numerous reports of thefts from businesses and residences.

They included:

* Representatives of a business in the 1100 block of Hill Road North reported at 1:43 p.m. March 28 a man in a green truck stole a gas grill and fled the scene.

A resident of the 100 block of Leasure Drive reported at 7:11 p.m. March 28 that $13,174 worth of items were stolen from his trailer that was parked in his driveway.

* Two women -- a 36-year-old from Centerburg and a 34-year-old from Lancaster -- were each issued a summons and citations for theft after stealing merchandise from a business in the 100 block of Postage Drive at 7:17 p.m. March 28.

* A 25-year-old man was issued a citation for theft after attempting to leave a business with unpaid merchandise at 5:40 p.m. March 29 in the 100 block of Postage Drive.

Reports said the man was given a date for a mandatory court appearance in Fairfield County Municipal Court.

* Officers were called to a business in the 1700 block of Hill Road North at 12:53 a.m. March 30 on a report of an assault.

Reports said officers spoke with several individuals and took statements and photographs and determined an assault and a robbery had occurred. Charges against three juveniles are pending, according to reports.

* A burglary was reported at 3:37 a.m. March 31 in the 1800 block of Hill Road North.

A man told police someone stole items from his hotel room and also stole his vehicle.

* Officers were called to the 1700 block of Hill Road North at 9:02 p.m. March 31 on a report of a female lying on the ground near a business.

Reports said the intoxicated female was transported to Ohio Health by Violet Township medics for evaluation.

* The mother of a small child reported at 8:30 a.m. April 1 her son was assaulted by an employee of a business in the 1800 block of Winderly Lane.

Reports said the business immediately terminated the accused employee and an investigation continues.

* A 35-year-old woman was arrested on a forgery charge at 1:04 p.m. April 2 in the 1000 block of Hill Road.

Reports said she was taken to the Fairfield County Jail.
