A resident in the 7000 block of Astra Circle reported a breaking and entering. Police said it appeared the back door had been forced open. Several items were missing, including two televisions, a laptop computer and some jewelry. Estimated value of the missing items was not reported.

The owner of a carryout business in the 5000 block of East Livingston Avenue reported someone had attempted to break in by prying open the west front door. Entry was made to a breezeway but not into the building itself. No items were reported stolen.

A resident in the 1000 block of Briarcliff Road reported his front door had been forced open and when he opened his bedroom closet, a black man in a red coat was hiding there. The suspect ran out of the closet and fled the scene. The resident reported $10 in quarters was stolen.

A resident in the 2000 block of Hughey Drive reported he heard his car alarm go off between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. but didn't see anything when he looked out the window. The next morning, he found the passenger side window had been smashed, but nothing had been stolen from the car.

A resident in the 2000 block of River Rock Way reported an unknown male knocked on his door claiming he was selling magazines, then asked him for his car and some food. When the resident said no several times, the man pushed him into his house, assaulted him and stole his debit card before fleeing.
