Police were called to the 6500 block of Olde Mill Run May 14 by a resident who discovered a handgun in the street near his residence at about 7:45 a.m.

The handgun was found to be loaded and was entered into the police property room. The gun's serial number was checked through Law Enforcement Agency Data Systems, but no information was on file for the gun. An investigation is pending.

* Officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Pine Tree Lane at 4:32 a.m. May 15 on a reported burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers found a female attempting to gain entry into the front door of an apartment. Officers determined the female was heavily intoxicated, and neighbors confirmed she did not live at the address. Officers arrested the female, a 27-year-old of Columbus, for a disorderly intoxication charge and transported her to the Franklin County Jail.

* At about 6 p.m. May 15, a resident told police she was standing outside her vehicle in the parking lot of a business at 6300 E. Main Street when a blue Ford Taurus approached and a male passenger exited. The suspect grabbed an Internet tablet from the victim's hand. The suspect re-entered the vehicle, which left the area and traveled westbound on East. Main Street. The case remains under investigation.

* A Reynoldsburg resident on May 19 told police she was attempting to make a payment on her cable account when a customer service representative told her an unknown person used her personal information to set up a separate account with their company in 2011. The account was set up for an address in Warren, Ohio.

* On May 20, officers were dispatched to a business in the 8100 block of East Broad Street for a theft complaint. The victims told police their 2010 Ford Fusion was stolen by a known suspect. The vehicle was recovered, and a warrant was issued for a 24-year-old Newark man.

* A vehicle traveling southbound in the curb lane of Brice Road with no headlights on was observed by police at about 4 a.m. May 15. Officers made contact with the driver and detected the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, a 20-year-old male from Columbus, had marijuana in his possession and said it was his.

During a search of the vehicle, officers reported they discovered stacks of paper money and marijuana on the driver's person. Officers seized the paper money and marijuana. The driver was cited for driving under suspension, no headlights and attempting trafficking.
