One of Senior Citizens of Reynoldsburg's (SCOR) most visible groups is the Golden Clefs. This all-volunteer chorus has been a community favorite for many years.

The group entertains in many retirement facilities throughout Franklin and Licking Counties. The residents often join in as they enjoy the music, which brings back memories. Rumor has it that the more soothing music has lulled a few audience members to sleep as well!

Their music includes show tunes as well as the Buckeye favorite "Hang On Sloopy." The Golden Clefs also include performances by smaller groups such as duets and quartets that enjoy sharing their special talents -- this might be a dramatic performance, the playing of an instrument or dancing a jig. They boast how fortunate they are to have a wonderful and talented pianist.

Chorus members found themselves in transition when their director was unable to continue. The group has pulled together, sharing responsibilities so that they can continue their work. The reward they receive from bringing joy to their audiences makes it all worthwhile!
