Reynoldsburg High School football coach Steve Evans has resigned.
Evans coached Reynoldsburg for three seasons. He led the Raiders to consecutive 2-8 seasons in 2008 and 2009 before finishing 3-7 last year.
Evans replaced Woody Underwood in 2008. Underwood stepped down after a 3-7 season in 2007. That same year, Evans led Teays Valley to a 7-3 record.
Evans has successfully turned around programs at Hamilton Township and Teays Valley. However, he couldn't repeat the task at Reynoldsburg, where players have had to pay as much as $500 in pay-to-participate fees.
The Raiders were sixth at 1-6 in the OCC-Ohio Division.
