Local high school boys and girls basketball players have been nominated for selection to the McDonald's All-American teams. The final rosters will be announced during the McDonald's All-American High School Basketball Games Selection Show, which will be at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11 on ESPNU. Local players nominated were:

The Heidelberg softball program will hold clinics for players grades 5-12 on Feb. 7, featuring instruction from the Heidelberg staff and Hofstra alumni Ashley Lane and Tara Ulrich.

An offense and defense session will be held at 12 p.m. for players grades 5-8, followed by an offense and defense session at 2 p.m. for players grades 9-12. There will also be a pitchers clinic at 4 p.m. for players grades 5-12. Former NBA player Stan Kimbrough, who played for the Sacramento Kings and Detroit Pistons, is offering two clinics for boys and girls grades 5-8.

The Nothing but Net basketball skills clinic will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Indian Hill Winter Club. The Advanced Skills Clinic will be from 2-4:30 p.m.
