The Ready High School boys bowling team's season ended in the qualifying round of the Division II state tournament March 7 at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl.

The Ready High School boys bowling team's season ended in the qualifying round of the Division II state tournament March 7 at Wayne Webb's Columbus Bowl.

Having advanced to state as the district runners-up, the Silver Knights bowled a 2,966 at state to finish 15th of 16 teams.

The only central Ohio team to advance to the championship round was Jonathan Alder, which bowled a 3,304. Buckeye Valley finished 12th (3,163).

"(We) did well," Ready coach Russ Rehner said, "(but) you had to be able to make spares and we didn't make as many as we would have liked."

Chris McCarty led the Silver Knights with a 580 three-game series. He finished 18th, missing honorable mention all-state honors by three spots.

Also competing for Ready were Andy Rowe (486), Ryan O'Harra (482), James Zwayer (468) and Tim Dalton (344 in two games).

Utica's Dylan Ostrander competed individually, bowling a 466 series.
