Here is a rundown of the finalists:

Ian Black, Dublin Jerome: A University of Indiana recruit, this senior forward was OCC-Cardinal Division and Division I district Player of the Year. Black has 26 goals and six assists heading into the regional tournament for the Celtics, who beat Pickerington North 2-1 in a district final Oct. 31 to improve to 16-1-2.

Antonio Romanelli, DeSales: The Division II district Player of the Year for the third year in a row, Romanelli has 17 goals for a Stallions team that beat Bexley 6-1 in a district final Oct. 31 to improve to 15-2-2. A senior midfielder and Ohio Wesleyan recruit, Romanelli helped the Stallions win a state title last year.

Shay Smith, Worthington Christian: With this junior forward leading the way, the Warriors were Division III district runners-up and finished 11-6-2. Smith had 19 goals and four assists and was named district Player of the Year. He helped Worthington Christian win district titles in his first two prep seasons.
