The Hilliard Bradley High School girls basketball team defeated host Dublin Jerome 53-42 on Dec. 4 to improve to 2-0 overall and in the OCC-Cardinal Division.

Jerome dropped to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the league.

"We got better since (a 38-34 win over Westerville North on Dec. 1)," Bradley coach Kathy Lindsey said. "This was our first road game. It was on the road against a good team, a league opponent, so I was pleased with the result."

The Celtics remained in the game for most of the first three quarters before Bradley took control. The Jaguars opened their largest lead at 46-30 on Carly Allocco's basket early in the fourth quarter.

Allocco finished with a game-high 20 points. Grace Fodor and Kamerin Hillis each scored nine for the Jaguars.

Deanna Prochko led Jerome with 17 points and freshman post player Emilee Becker added 11.

"We caught a team tonight that was hot," Jerome coach Trey Fogg said. "They executed really well. They're very patient offensively and they made lots of shots tonight. I don't think we played bad offensively. They outworked us on the boards."

Fogg is hoping senior post player Bailey Williams will make her season debut Dec. 11 at Hilliard Darby. Williams has missed the first four games with a right wrist injury and is expected to miss the Celtics' game Dec. 8 at Westerville North.
