The St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 W. Lane Ave., will offer a quiet approach to Christmas for those who are feeling left out of the world of celebration with the "Blue Christmas" Mass.

The St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 W. Lane Ave., will offer a quiet approach to Christmas for those who are feeling left out of the world of celebration with the "Blue Christmas" Mass.

The service will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24.

Blue Christmas allows all to observe the holiday with no other expectations.

Upper Arlington Christian Assembly, 2211 Haviland Road, will celebrate its one-year anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 10.

The worship service will feature a special musical program, ranging from contemporary Christian music to traditional favorites. A short message will end the service. Lunch will be served immediately following.

The non-denominational church started in January 2009, and was originally part of a Christian ministry on the Ohio State University campus.

Lunch will be provided free of charge.
