Not rain, nor clouds, not even soggy fields could keep the crowds away from this year's 17th annual Taste of UA.

Not rain, nor clouds, not even soggy fields could keep the crowds away from this year's 17th annual Taste of UA.

Thirty-two restaurants and sold out vendor booth space made this year's event the largest to date and a huge success for all participants.

"Restaurants, caterers, businesses and organizations had the opportunity to show off their goods or services," said Becky Hajost, president of the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce. "The support of UA residents and the community in general is like no other. We feel this event has become a community tradition and allows us to really showcase our members. The Taste of UA has become a community tradition."

Summer is a busy time for everyone, and the Taste is a perfect opportunity for the Upper Arlington residents to come together and visit with friends and neighbors and support area businesses.

The event featured something for everyone, crafts and amusement rides for the kids, musical acts, and a beer garden and of course an opportunity to taste some of the best foods of local restaurants.

"Working with 130 vendors at one time is a mind-boggling experience but it gives me

the opportunity to more closely connect with many of our mem-bers," said Karen Hamilton, membership development director. "I consider it an honor to be a part in carrying on the tradition of the Taste of Upper Arlington."

The Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce thanks all who participated, volunteered and attended the event.

It is because of this wonderful group of people who possess such a sense of community that makes this event so successful and special.
