A resident in the 1400 block of LaFayette Drive told police someone used his name and checking account number to transfer a total of $3,967 from his checking account into another account between noon April 29 and 5:30 p.m. May 10.

A resident in the 1400 block of LaFayette Drive told police someone used his name and checking account number to transfer a total of $3,967 from his checking account into another account between noon April 29 and 5:30 p.m. May 10.

He said he was unaware of the fraudulent activity until he received a bank statement via mail.

In other recent Upper Arlington Police Division incident reports:

* An officer on patrol found a purse in a yard in the 1800 block of Northwest Boulevard. It was determined the purse, valued at $100, belonged to resident of the 1600 block of Waltham Road and had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle between 10 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. May 14-15.

* A laptop computer, personal papers, personal checks, a wallet and three credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 4100 block of Mumford Court between 11 p.m. May 13 and 8 a.m. May 14. Entry was gained by breaking a window.

* A range finder valued at $500, a duffel bag valued at $100, a backpack valued at $75 and game calls, a hunting license, scent-blocker clothing and shotgun shells, all valued at $1 each, were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4700 block of Ravine Court between 11 p.m. May 13 and 6 a.m. May 14.

* A child's bicycle valued at $100 was reported stolen from the carport of a home in the 2800 block of Rivertop Lane between 8 a.m. May 11 and 6:27 p.m. May 14.

* A man, unidentified by police, was arrested in the 1600 block of Sundridge Drive on charges of domestic violence and assault stemming from an incident at his residence between 10 and 11:13 p.m. May 15.
