* Students in grades K-4 are invited to "LEGO Lit" at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. Hear a story and build a related creation using LEGO blocks. Registration is required.

* Give the gift of life at the "Red Cross Blood Drive" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.

* Children in grades 2-4 can make "Scratch Art Gifts" at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Registration is required.

* Dash through the snow to "Jingle Bell Storytime" at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15. Preschoolers will love this music and movement storytime featuring snowballs and jingle bells.

* Students in grades 9-12 needing a quiet place to prepare for exams can use the "UA High School Exam Study Rooms" from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 16-18.

* Local educator and puppeteer Rebecca Riley will perform her shadow puppet adaptation of The Polar Express and host an interactive puppet making workshop at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. For ages 4-12. Registration is required.

* "Let's Speak English" meets at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15. Practice speaking English with ESOL-trained volunteers.

* Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the "Hobbit Party" at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17.

* Discover "The Christmas Story Through Art" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. Anne Peterson, a Columbus Museum of Art docent, is the presenter. Registration is required.
