An Upper Arlington man reported last week that he awoke to find an intruder in his house.

The resident in the 2200 block of Hadleigh Road called the Upper Arlington Police Division at 3:25 a.m. Aug. 19 after he was awakened by the sound of someone entering his house through a screen door.

He said he went downstairs to investigate and confronted the intruder, who fled through a screen door. The resident told police he briefly chased the suspect.

An area check by officers turned up nothing, and police reports gave no description of the alleged intruder.

In other recent Upper Arlington Police Division reports:

* Three copper scuppers valued at $1,080 and downspouts valued at $640 were stolen from an Upper Arlington realty company's worksite in the 3400 block of London Court Drive between 4 p.m. Aug. 16 and 7 a.m. Aug. 17.

* Tires valued at a total of $3,000 on two vehicles owned by an Upper Arlington man were slashed while the vehicles were parked in the 2200 block of Inchchiff Road between 10 p.m. Aug. 18 and 6 a.m. Aug. 19.

* A double-paned window and a wooden window blind, wiht no values provided, were both damaged at a residence in the 2700 block of Fishinger Road after an unknown person reportedly set off fireworks and threw a rock through the home's window at 3:36 a.m. Aug. 19.

* A 19-year-old Upper Arlington man was charged with possession of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol following a traffic stop near the intersection of Kenny Road and Millcreek Lane at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 18. An 18-year-old Upper Arlington man also was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly being found with a marijuana grinder and digital scale during the stop.
