A cache of firearms and other items were stolen last week from an Upper Arlington residence.

Fifteen firearms ranging in value from $100 to $900 were stolen during a break-in at a house in the 2700 block of Welsford Road between 1:30 p.m. Dec. 25 and 12:43 p.m. Dec. 27.

According to a report made by the resident and a family member, someone gained entry by breaking out a rear door window panel, causing $500 in damage. Once inside, the thief used a screwdriver from the victim's tool chest to pry open one gun safe, and tried unsuccessfully to break into another.

Police reports said two bedrooms were ransacked as well.

The guns were valued at a total of $4,700, reports stated. Also stolen were a computer valued at $1,500, computer equipment valued at $300 and jewelry valued at $15.

In other recent Upper Arlington Police Division reports:

* Lawrence T. Walker, 37, of Woodcliff Drive in Columbus, was charged with felony possession of weapons under a disability for a drug-related crime and receiving stolen property after a traffic stop near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Nottingham Road at 3:10 a.m. Jan. 3.

Police reports said Walker was found with a loaded extended gun magazine and a loaded handgun that was determined to be stolen.

* A 22-year-old Columbus man was charged with two counts of driving under suspension, driving without an operator's license and no headlights following a traffic stop in the 1300 block of West Lane Avenue at 2:29 a.m. Jan. 1. Upper Arlington police found that a warrant from the Ohio State University police had been issued for him for failure to appear. He was taken to the Franklin County jail.

* A Columbus man reported his 2012 maroon Honda Civic was stolen from a driveway in the 2000 block of Tewksbury Road between 2 and 5:30 a.m. Dec. 30. He said the vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside.

* A laptop computer valued at $2,000, headphones valued at $150, a portable speaker valued at $100, a telephone charger valued at $80 and a mobile phone valued at $30 were stolen from a Cooperstown, N.D., man's vehicle while it was parked in the 1300 block of West Lane Avenue between 7 and 9:03 p.m. Dec. 29. Entry to the vehicle was gained by breaking out the rear passenger window, causing $500 in damage.

* A laptop computer valued at $1,500, a gold ring valued at $400, other jewelry valued at $200, a speaker valued at $200, earrings valued at $100, a computer tablet valued at $100 and a men's watch, no valued provided, were stolen from a residence in the 2600 block of York Road between 9 a.m. Dec. 26 and 5:04 p.m. Dec. 29.
