Rebecca Nagy of Westerville, a genetic counselor and researcher at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute, was appointed secretary/treasurer-elect of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for 2010.

Solove Research Institute, was appointed secretary/treasurer-elect of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC) for 2010.

Her two-year term will begin Jan. 1.

Nagy, a member of NSGC since 1994, co-chairs the society's cancer special interest group, representing more than 500 genetic counselors across the country on issues having to do with the field of cancer genetics.

NSGC is the leading voice of the genetic counseling profession. It represents more than 2,300 masters-level health professionals.
